2. The website is not an automated store
This is an informational catalog without a cart or online payment. Confirmation that an enquiry was received does not create a purchase, reservation or service contract. A binding agreement arises after written confirmation of the item or work, price and material terms.
3. Prices, images and availability
We aim to state specifications, prices and stock accurately, but screen color, scale and photographs may differ from the physical piece. Metal and gemstone markets, resizing and configuration may change price and availability. An obvious website error does not oblige a sale at an erroneous price; the current proposal is confirmed before contract.
4. Order, payment and delivery
Before ordering, we agree the item or work, materials, stones, size, price, taxes, deposit, timing, collection or delivery and warranty. The website does not process payment; details appear in the proposal or invoice. Destination, cost, insurance and estimated delivery are confirmed in advance. Tell us before ordering if a date is essential.
5. 14-day right of withdrawal
If a consumer concludes a distance contract for a standard item and no statutory exception applies, they may withdraw without reason within 14 days after receipt. Send a clear notice identifying the order to finecastgems@gmail.com; we will provide return instructions for Merķeļa iela 5–4, Riga, LV-1050. Send the item within 14 days after notice. Direct return costs are borne by the consumer unless agreed otherwise in writing before contract.
6. Refund and returned-item condition
Where withdrawal applies, we refund payments and our least expensive standard delivery within 14 days after notice. We may wait for the item or proof of dispatch and use the original payment method unless otherwise agreed. The consumer is liable only for diminished value caused by handling beyond a shop inspection. Packaging and proof of purchase help identification, but their absence does not itself remove mandatory rights.
7. Bespoke goods and services already begun
The 14-day right may not apply to goods genuinely made to individual specifications or clearly personalized, such as an approved special design, engraving or irreversible alteration. We state before ordering whether the exception applies; it does not automatically cover every jewelry item, size choice or sale item and does not remove rights for defects. If a service begins during the withdrawal period at the consumer’s express request, completed work may be payable on withdrawal; a fully performed service with prior consent may lose the right as provided by law.
8. Damage, non-conformity and guarantee
Inspect goods on receipt and tell us as soon as reasonably possible if an item is incorrect, damaged in transit or non-conforming, including order details and photographs. Email finecastgems@gmail.com to arrange safe assessment. This request for prompt notice does not remove Latvian and EU rights to repair, replacement, price reduction or termination and the applicable legal guarantee.
9. Website use, liability and disputes
Unlawful use, bypassing security, excessive automated requests, harmful code and infringement are prohibited. The Fine Cast Gems name, design, text, photographs and drawings are protected against unauthorized commercial copying. The website may be temporarily unavailable; nothing limits mandatory liability or consumer rights. Latvian and EU law applies without removing mandatory protection in the consumer’s home country. Send complaints to finecastgems@gmail.com, after which PTAC and other legal remedies remain available. The current terms appear here; confirmed orders retain their agreed terms unless mandatory law provides otherwise.
